TWHS SB OMG Instructions Spring 2018
Jordan Neely has committed to continue her softball career in college at St. Edward’s University in Austin! All of her hard work and dedication are paying off. We are all so proud of her! Congratulations and Fear the Goat!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Holiday Home Run Derby! We were able to raise over $1,200 to benefit the kids served by CASA and CPS in Montgomery County. Zane Watson won the men’s division and Emiley Kennedy, Kamryn Burkes and Skylar Stockton tied for the women’s division championship. Everyone had a good time and there were a lot of long balls hit out of Highlander Field under the lights for a good cause. Go ahead and mark your calendars to come back out again next year (Thursday before Thanksgiving Break)!
Ever dream of hitting a home run under the lights with the crowd going wild? Want to practice hitting the long ball for Slugfest? Want to help local kids in the process? The TWHS Softball Team is hosting a Home Run Derby Contest benefiting the CASA Christmas Toy Drive on Thursday, November 16th. The entry fee is one new, unwrapped toy or $10 for each turn in Round 1 (unlimited turns can be purchased until 7:00). Registration and warm-up will start at 3:00 or you can pre-register with Coach Miller in Portable 9 or a member of the softball team. We’ll have the concession stand open and you’ll get a hot dog, chips and a drink with your registration. So, come out and hit some homers, drop some bombs, go yard, hit dingers, whatever your saying is for a good cause. See you there!
Skylar Sirdashney has verbally committed to continue her softball career at the University of Wisconsin when she graduates from The Woodlands H.S. Dash is really excited about this opportunity and we couldn’t be more proud of her! All of the hard work and dedication has paid off. Not bad for someone who’s been playing third base for only a year 😉 Congratulations!
The annual Texas Hold’em Poker Social benefiting the TWH Fastpitch Booster Club and Highlander Softball Program is Saturday, November 4th at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 1488. Dinner and drinks are included with registration and will start at 5:00 with poker play to begin at 6:00. This event is for both the beginner (we’ll have rule sheets on the tables) and seasoned veterans. The grand prize is a $500 gift card for the overall winner and each table winner will receive a gift basket that has at least a $100 value. We’ll also have a blackjack table going and silent auction with items such as jewelry, house painting service, a new bat, etc. available. Don’t worry about missing the game as we’ll have TV’s around the room with games on. So, bring your friends, family and neighbors out for a night of fellowship without the kids where you can have a good time with food and drinks provided and play a little poker and black jack and support Highlander Softball at the same time. Who could ask for anything more!? See you there!
