Highlander Softball would like to thank everyone who made this weekend a success! It was nice to finally get started! That includes the coaches, players and parents from Bellaire, Cinco Ranch, Cy Ranch, Klein Oak and Liberty. We hope that you all enjoyed your time at Highlander Field! Good luck this season!

Below you can find information regarding parking, ticket prices and game times. Enjoy your time at Highlander Field!
Thursday – The closer to 3:00 people show up the better as it will allow the school traffic to exit. It will probably be easiest to park in the back lot by the cafeteria and walk to the field. Enter through the east most entrance at the end of the school and drive around the building. You will see construction on your right as proceed to the back, once you pass that and come to the back of the building, there is a large parking lot next to some portable classroom buildings. Park there and walk to the concession stand. That is where the entrance to the park is. If you park in the front of the school, walk along the tennis courts to the back. Once you clear the tennis courts, you will see the field to the left. For the later games, more spots should be open closer to the field but you might be better off closer to the concession stand as that is where the entrance is.
Friday – As this is a school day, the parking lots will be full for students, faculty and staff. All visitors should enter the bus ramp on Millenium Forest and park in the grass median or along Millenium Forest. The spaces by the field are reserved for faculty and we have some who travel between campuses and will need those spaces later in the day. Once school is out at 2:35, people are more than welcome to pull around the back of the school and park by the field. But before 2:35, we need everyone to park in the front in the grass around the bus ramp or along Millenium Forest.
Saturday – No parking restrictions! Pull around the back of the school and park in an open spot.
Ticket prices will be $6 a day or a tournament pass for $15 for adults while students and seniors will be $4 a day or $10 for a tournament pass. We’ll have the concession stand open with plenty of hot food choices. Cash and Venmo will be accepted.
The Lady Highlander Fastpitch Softball team will be hosting tryouts Friday, January 15th after school and Saturday, January 16th on the softball field behind the senior campus. To try out, players must have an athletic physical on file with the trainer (or they can bring it with them to tryouts) and register with Coach Borths by email at tborths@conroeisd.net. The email needs to be received by Wednesday, January 13th and should include the player’s name, grade, position(s) and experience. At the tryout, players will need to provide their own glove and equipment.
Any student with a valid physical from 2019-2020 school year will not be required to complete a new Pre-Participation Exam from a physician UNLESS there is a “yes” answer to any of questions 1-6 on the Medical History Form.
ONLY students new to athletics, marching band, or other activity requiring a Pre-Participation exam; and/or any student with a “Yes” answer on questions 1-6 on the Medical History form will be required to complete the physician portion of the physical.
ALL students MUST complete the online forms in SportsWare (just like last year) and, the Medical History is included within that program this year.
If a student needs a Pre-Participation Examination from a physician, they may print the form from our website and take it with them to the physician. PLEASE DO NOT use last year’s forms. The forms this year contain changes from the UIL and CISD.
The only hard copy form that will be accepted is the Pre-participation Exam that has been completed by a physician. All other forms must be completed online.
SportsWare:
If the student had an account last year (cleared to play), they DO NOT re-register. The parent should log in with the email and password that they created last year; if they cannot remember, simply choose the “Forgot password” link.
Below are the instructions for new students as well as returning students for SportsWare, and also a digital copy of the Pre-Participation Exam form. The district has posted the forms online and the links are below. The link to SportsWare is www.swol123.net If returning, please login using the Login box at the top right of the page. If new to athletics, please “Join SportsWare” which is the third box on the right.
