Tim Borths – Head Coach
Coach Borths has been teaching and coaching in The Woodlands since 2003. In the fall of 2005, he joined the TWHS Softball Staff as the Varsity Assistant and helped the program win it’s first playoff game as that team went all of the way to the regional quarterfinals in 2006. He was part of several more deep playoff runs before the Highlanders were able to finally KICK IT IN and bring the state and national championship home to The Woodlands in 2011 with a 44-1 record.
2017 was Coach Borths’ first year at the helm. He helped to lay the foundation for the program that has turned into a perennial contender and is honored to have the opportunity to lead the Highlanders and continue the tradition of excellence that has been built here. He has been a part of the history and the successes and looks forward to the future and turning the possibilities that await with each new season into realities.
Tim Borths is a graduate of Clear Creek High School in League City, TX and earned his BBA and teaching certificate from The University of Texas at Austin and his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Coach Borths and his wife, Katie, were married in 2005 and they were blessed with the arrival of their sons, Ryan, in October 2008 and Justin, in April 2011. Softball is a family affair for the Borths’ as Ryan’s impending arrival was announced at the College Park game the season before when Katie wore a subtle t-shirt to the game while Justin was born in-between the CP and Conroe games during the last week of district play that year. Now they can be seen at the games with Katie cheering on the girls and chasing foul balls. Go Highlanders!

Randi Rascoe – Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Rascoe graduated from The Woodlands High School in 2009 where she played softball all four years before continuing her playing career and education at Angelina College. She completed her undergraduate degree at Sam Houston State University with a major in History and a minor in Secondary Education. Coach Rascoe spent the first two years of her career at Hudson high school where she coached softball and basketball before coming back home to The Woodlands for the 2017 season.
Coach Rascoe decided to coach and teach because growing up, she had teachers and coaches who motivated her to be better. They taught her that hard work, a positive attitude, and a kind spirit can get you a really long way. Most importantly, they taught her how to be a better human being. So, ever since high school, she knew that she wanted to impact young people in the same manner and that’s why she is here today.
Her family still resides in The Woodlands area and can be seen at the games. This includes her mom, her older sister, Sidney, who has two precious twins and her younger sister, Shelbie.
