Sidney Salmans put on a show and played the kind of gritty game that Highlander fans have come to expect from the senior for the last four years against the best 4A and 5A players in the state during the TGCA All-Star Game in Arlington. She started the game in left field and began things off by hustling to catch a foul ball while crashing into the fence that sent the crowd into a frenzy. She rotated through all three outfield positions during the game, never coming off of the field for the 4A-5A Blue Team. She had quality at-bats all game long and in the 7th inning game up with a big sacrifice bunt that she almost beat out to move the runner from 2nd to 3rd. The next batter hit an infield single that scored the winning run that Sidney had moved 60 feet away. She stepped up big once again in a big situation and came through on top in true All-Star and Highlander fashion. Congratulations to Sidney and the other All-Stars.
