The Woodlands got a five-inning no-hitter from pitcher Avery Taylor in 3-0 win over Liberty Thursday to begin the Lady Highlanders round robin tournament.
Taylor struck out two and walked one. The Woodlands (5-4) got RBIs by Skylar Sirdashney, Abbey Newlun (2 for 3) and Katie Emberton, who doubled.
The Lady Highlanders play Cinco Ranch at 1:30 p.m. today, followed by Bellaire at 5 p.m.
