The Woodlands beat Klein Oak 8-5 on Monday night in District 15-6A play.
The Lady Highlanders (8-1, 3-0) did most of the scoring damage in the second and fifth innings.
In the second, Skylar Stockton led off with a home run after falling behind to an 0-2 count. Later, Skylar Sirdashney drove in two runs with a double. Jordan Neely capped the scoring for the inning with an RBI single.
In the fifth inning, The Woodlands led 5-3 before adding some insurance with three runs. Amanda Curran drove in one of the runs with her double. Two more scored on one error.
Neely led the way at the plate with her 3-for-3 effort. Sirdashney, Stockton and Kayla Falterman had two hits apiece.
The Lady Highlanders compete in the Sienna Plantation Tournament this weekend.
